The Wood Joint project combines compositional exploration and craft skills. The project intends to create two pieces that can fit together in multiple ways and has one orientation in which the pieces fit together in a 4”x4”x5.5” bounding box.

This project began by exploring connections and relationships which ultimately lead to two distinct pieces. One more volumetric piece, and another piece with a sliding component that allows even more compositional variation.

Spatial and temporal dimensions coalesce due to the sliding component and spatial constraints of the base pieces.
