Parametric design allows for endless iteration and optimization potential. This assignment explores parametric design using Grasshopper for Rhino 3D and its potential to generate a screen or canopy system supported by columns.

The sine wave function is used to make an undulating canopy while parametric columns adjust to the optimal position to support the canopy in various iterations.

In some cases, the sine shaped louvers dominate the canopy creating screening conditions. In other cases, louvers touch the ground and replace column density.
