The Masonry Design-Build tests design and real-world implementation skills.

The team was interested in expressing the modular dimensions of the assigned bricks and CMUs to generate a “serpentine” geometry. Slight protrusions were explored as opprotunites for allowing light and air flow through.

The team produced a series of preliminary sketches and scale models before a live construction during “build day.”
